About Me

Hi there! My name is Ezra la Roi. No I (probably) don’t have an exotic French heritage, but was born in the Netherlands (Friesland). I completed my doctorate at Ghent University in the field of Ancient Greek linguistics. My main supervisors were prof.dr. Klaas Bentein and dr. Rutger Allan. My PhD project investigated counterfactual constructions in Ancient Greek. I am currently in the process of making my publications accessible on this website for anyone. Besides my project, I am interested in pretty much anything to do with Ancient Greek linguistics in whatever stage of the language. Another interest of mine is Latin linguistics, in particular its historical linguistic study.
